About Us

Black Forest Hill is owned and operated by Robyn and Jim Rich. They purchased the business in late 2005 when the original owners decided to return to live in Germany. Robyn and Jim have a farming background and whilst still managing their farms, they thoroughly enjoy the challenges of running a large importing and retail sales business.

They love working here and enjoy meeting so many wonderful people from all corners of the globe. Like many who visit, they have a clock fetish and are happy to explain the traditional and modern aspects of each of the clocks on display.

The shop mostly has products of European origin. All of our clocks are fully imported from The Black Forest Region of Germany. On average we receive a least three containers of shipments from Germany each year. Every clock is packed in its own separate carton and arrives here without a hint of any damage.

We ask you to call in and see our wonderful display. Allow at least an hour or two to have a close look at all the items. Admission is FREE! Visit one of the many other tourist attractions in the local area. It will make an excellent day’s outing.

Bus tour groups, clubs and other organisations are always welcome. Please contact us before hand if you have group numbers interested in learning about the cuckoo clocks. We provide arranged group talks for only $40.

For instance, what wedding present do you give a couple who are getting married, when they have lived together and already have everything? We often have groups all sharing the costs to purchase more substantial items such as a beautiful wall clock or grandfather clock.

Whether a grandfather clock or a hanging clock, with plain and stylish or artistic carving, with a cuckoo or with chimes we have a wide range of clocks to suit every taste. Our friendly,well trained and specialist staff will advise you competently when you select your favourite clock.

Our replica waterwheel made from local timber. These wheels were once used in German village streams and rivers to generate electricity.
